Quinoa Crusted Podi Spiced Tofu

Indulging with Quinoa allows you to enjoy the best of both the worlds - taste and nourishment. Adding this to a recipe with Tofu makes for a Quinoa-licious dish! Since we know Quinoa is known for its high protein, iron and low GI index, it is the ideal addition to this recipe, especially if you're planning to drop some kilos!


  • 250 gms firm tofu
  • ¼ cup quinoa
  • 1 tsp chutney podi
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to grease grill pan


  • Begin by roughly pounding the quinoa or lightly whiz it in the mixer. You don’t want it to be powdered, just slightly broken.

  • Then proceed to mix all spices with the pounded quinoa.

  • After which you have to coat the sliced tofu with spiced quinoa and lightly sauté it on a grill pan.

  • Serve with a lettuce salad.
