Quinoa Porridge bowl

Fuel yourself with this healthy Quinoa Porridge breakfast Bowl loaded with enough carbs to get you through the day.


  • 1/2 cup dry quinoa
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 red apple
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder


  • Soak the quinoa in water for one hour. Wash well and drain. Bring this to cook in a pot with 1 cup water.

  • Once the quinoa is cooked, add the milk and simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

  • While the quinoa is cooking, cut the apple in half and de-seed. Slice it thinly.

  • Heat ghee in a heavy pan and allow the apple slices to caramelize on a slow flame for 10 minutes.

  • Sweeten the porridge with honey.

  • Divide between two bowls.

  • Top with caramelized apples, chia seeds and cinnamon powder.

  • Serve hot.
