The Quinoa Nut Bowl for Power Work-Outs

Looking for a dish that could help you boost your energy & performance for a workout? Quinoa nut-bowl is the most ideal dish to serve that purpose, giving you the energy & nutrients you need without compromising on flavour! A raw food diet for some raw energy, indulge with quinoa as it is a super-grain to prepare super-foods.

Ingredients:

  • Quinoa – 80g
  • Chopped Almonds – 20g
  • Mixed Nuts (flax, pumpkin,pine nuts, etc)
  • Mustard Dressing – 30ml
  • Honey – 10g
  • Olive Oil – 20ml (10 ml)
  • Boiled black chana – 30g
  • Lemon juice
  • Chaat masala – 5g
  • Coriander – a few sprigs
  • Avocado – 1 semi ripe (50 grams)
  • Arugula – to garnish

Methods:

  • Cook the quinoa in veg stock or lemony water for around 15 mins. Dry & chill

  • Whisk the dressing with honey and just a touch of water. Fold in the quinoa chana. Finally, add the nuts & chopped coriander.

Note:

Garnish with a sliced avocado with seasoning & olive oil and a few arugula leaves on top
