Gobindo bhog Rice

India Gate Gobindobhog rice is an aromatic short-grain rice which is primarily grown in the Indian state of West Bengal. This one of a kind rice variety is known for its unique fragrance, flavour and texture. Gobindobhog rice has been a staple in Bengali cuisine for centuries and is often used in traditional dishes like Basanti Pulao, Khichuri, and Payesh. Gobindobhog rice has gained recognition as a Geographical Indication (GI) product, which signifies its unique origin and cultural significance.

This rice variety is prized for its delicate and nutty flavour, which is attributed to the specific agro-climatic conditions of the region where it is grown. The best harvest of the region is identified and then quality tested – before it is sent for cleaning, milling and packaging at India’s most advance and high end rice manufacturing plant.
