There are many people who have to compromise when it comes to indulging in sweets. With the help of Quinoa, people have to compromise no more - sweets are now tasty as well as nutritious! Quinoa is high in protein, iron and fiber, thus making it possible to indulge in sweets without having to feel the guilt!
Begin by heating up the milk and adding quinoa to it. Let it cook for about 5 min till the quinoa is soft.
Then add grated mawa, flour and all other ingredients and let the mixture stand for 15 mins. After 15 min it should be thick. Mix well and and add baking soda before you begin frying it.
On a pan, heat some oil and make pancakes from the batter. Then deep fry them or if you wish, you can directly deep fry the batter.
Combine the cardamom, sugar and water to make syrup for the malpua.
Immediately soak the pancakes in syrup for 5 minutes after which you can garnish and serve!
